The total salary package for this position is £35,868 - £39,012 per annum (approx. $56,722 - $61,694 USD per annum) including basic salary, hardship allowance and cost of living allowance.
MAG is a humanitarian organisation, working in conflict and former conflict countries to reduce the devastating effects of armed violence and the remnants of conflict for the benefit of local communities.
MAG has been working in South Sudan since 2004, working to clear landmines/unexploded ordnance and deliver mine risk education to at-risk populations.
Reporting to the Country Director, the Logistics Manager will be responsible for completing a full assessment of the programmes logistics function, identifying opportunities to improve the delivery of logistics, procurement and fleet management services to the wider programme. A key element of the role will be to develop capacity in the national logistics team and support the implementation of improved systems and best practice logistics and procurement, in line with donor and MAG policies and procedures
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate experience in assessing and analysing the logistics function, and in designing and implementing systematic improvements. You will also need to demonstrate the ability to capacity build national staff in a structured manner.
You don’t need previous experience in mine action and we welcome applications from experienced logistic managers from any development sector.
The Logistics Manager will be based in Juba with travel to MAG’s operational bases as required.
