CAFOD, one of the UK’s leading international aid agencies, is currently looking for a Country Representative for the South Sudan office.
Job profile
The Country Representative has responsibility for the South Sudan Country Programme and works with staff and partner organisations in South Sudan to realise the programme strategy.
Job role
The post holder holds budget authority and management for the South Sudan programme and ensures good financial management of CAFOD funds and donor funds. Representation is a key part of the role and the post holder will effectively represent CAFOD to key local and international players and networks, including the local church, institutional donors and other key contacts.
Your profile
We are looking for motivated candidates with demonstrated ability to manage complex programmes in a development / humanitarian context and experience in one or more of the programme areas: sustainable livelihoods, conflict, peace and reconciliation, HIV/AIDS, economic advocacy and humanitarian responses in complex political emergencies and countries which are either engaging or emerging from conflict. Candidates should also be confident in financial management and representing their organisation within NGO donor and faith based networks. A commitment to working in partnership is a must.
