Expert (m/f) for Financial Administration in Juba, South Sudan
The post is to be filled as soon as possible, with an initial term of 6 months. The field location will be Juba, South Sudan, as soon as the security situation in South Sudan improves.
Objectives and responsibilities of the position
As Expert (m/f) for Financial Administration, you are responsible for the financial-administrative implementation of our projects in accordance with the framework specified as regards content, time schedules and finance.
Your most important duties are as follows:
- administrative and technical financial support for the Head of Project
- monitoring and ensuring orderly financial and material planning (bank transactions, accounting, budget control, equipment)
- preparation of the financial section of final financial reports for co-financed projects in accordance with the rules of the sponsors and of Welthungerhilfe;
- providing support, training, and technical skills training to the local staff in the administration field
- offering logistical support (clearance of vehicles/trucks and goods at the border), procurement etc.
Your qualifications will include:
- a university degree or business training with additional special knowledge in e.g. accounting and controlling
- several years of project-relevant experience in the administration of co-financed projects of international (aid) organisations, preferably in this region
- coordination and organisational skills
- EDP knowledge, knowledge of financial software (WINPACCS, PIAP is considered an asset)
- a very good command of English, both spoken and written
