Introduction People In Need (PIN) is a Czech NGO working strictly on independent and neutral bases with no political or religious agenda. In South Sudan, PIN has been operational since end 2012 with reintegration / resilience focused programs in Central Equatoria and Northern Bahr el Ghazal. During the current conflict related emergency, PIN is supporting IDPs camps in Juba outside the UNMISS compound with a planned extension to the Jonglei state. The program is focusing particularly on the IDPs camp management.
Overview of responsibilities:
- Program management • Primary responsibility for achieving the program results and fulfilling the contractual obligations • Continuous improvement of the program quality and relevance • All activities related to the project cycle management • Compliance with all relevant rules and regulations • Application of the security rules in the field
- Team management • supervision of the team structure, staff recruitment and layoff • supervision of the local project team performance • support of professional growth of the staff, ensuring minimum staff turnover
- Program development • Needs assessments and identification of the future response • External coordination as necessary • Participation in the proposals writing • Participation in the fundraising activities
- Other • Representation of PIN as relevant • Any other tasks as required
Requirements and qualifications • Proven relevant education and experience of at least 5 years in the sector • Previous experience with the camp management preferred • Previous experience in South Sudan preferred • Good management and coordination skills • Fluent written and spoken English • Good understanding of and experience with insecure environments
