JOB ADVERT: Vocational Training and Business Officer (1 position)
LOCATION: Akon North Payam, Gogrial West County, Warrap
DURATION: 8 Months with possible renewal of contract

Dorcas is looking for an English-speaking South Sudanese for the position of Vocational Training and Business Officer to be based in Mayen Pajok (Akon North payam, Gogrial West county, Warrap State). In this position the employee will be responsible for setting up and managing a vocational training center, business training and business start-up support. The Vocational Training and Business Officer is accountable to the Project Coordinator.
****Key roles and responsibilities****
- Project management
- Develop detailed activity plan and manage implementation in line with project proposal;
- Timely identification of deviations in implementation and informing the project coordinator;
- Take lead in conducting of market research if needed;
- Setting up vocational trainings, including quality control and recruitment of students;
- Organizing and providing business trainings;
- Coordinate provision of business start-up support.
- Logistics
- Manage logistics needs and coordinate with logistical staff in order to ensure all project related equipment and material is timely available on site;
- Involvement in procurement of items in coordination with logistical staff.
- Staff management
- Participate in recruitment of staff to provide vocational and business training;
- Facilitate regular staff meetings with staff involved in provision of vocational and business training.
- Financial management
- Plan spending according to budget, and coordinate with finance and line manager timely in case of deviations.
- Monitoring and evaluation
- Ensure accurate and timely provision of information as requested by project coordinator and/or M&E Officer;
- Ensure proper documentation of the response under guidance of the M&E officer and the project coordinator.
- Communication
- Develop and maintain open communication with team members.
- Perform other duties as required
****Required Qualifications****
- Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Community Development or any other relevant field ;
- Minimum 2 years working experience with (I)NGOs in a relevant field;
- Relevant professional and technical experience in vocational training, business training, business start-up support;
- Work experience in remote area setting is an advantage.

- Strong working knowledge of English, spoken and written. Working knowledge of Arabic and Dinka are added advantages;
