strengthening ACF’s Nutrition monitoring and evaluation in South Sudan,conducting nutrition surveys / assessments. As the Survey Program Manager, you will be responsible for planning, conducting, reporting and evaluation of SMART surveys in identified regions in South Sudan
Key activities in your role will include:
- Support in the design of the Nutritional Surveillance Strategy in collaboration with Survey Coordinator, Nutrition Cluster and the Nutrition Information Working Group in South Sudan.
- Elaborate detailed operational plans for the Surveys. In collaboration with other departments, ensure all necessary resources are available on time to launch the surveys.Work with the Surveillance team in preparation of the surveys. Provide appropriate briefing, training and support to the surveillance team.
- Represent ACF to the local Humanitarian Community and with Government officials as well as developing strong links with NGO actors to support the key messages and positioning of ACF.
- Ensure project plans are followed through, adapt where necessary. Share regular updates and reports with the team in Capital while in deployment. Analyse and synthesise the data and provide reports as stipulated in the objectives of the survey

You’re a seasoned Emergency Nutrition professional
- You have a Master’s degree in statistics, epidemiology, nutrition by research or related field
- You have experienced at least 2 years in managing nutrition assessments, research and surveys in a humanitarian setting.
- You have practice using Epi- Info, ENA, Excel, Access, SMART and other related computer software packages.
You’re a super communicator
- You have experience working with colleagues who do not speak your language. You are used to explaining your work in non-technical terms.
- You are able to network and build relationships swiftly in a new place
- You are comfortable explaining policies & procedures to a team.
- You stay calm & like talking to colleagues to find solutions to their problems.
- You have contributed to team reports & are able to succinctly summarize & analyze current field activities.
You're passionate manager
- You are goal-oriented while also being genuinely committed to helping others succeed.
- You are able to lead & motivate a team to work in high pressure situations in difficult contexts with often harsh living conditions
