Junior Expert (focus: Programme Coordination)

Juba, South Sudan

The position is to be filled by 1 April 2016 and has an initial contract duration of 12 months. The job is based in Juba.

Aims and duties of the role

As Junior Expert for Programme Coordination in the Country office, you will support the team in the planning and implementation of the programmes and projects, as well as in the conceptual advancement of Welthungerhilfe engagement in the South Sudan.

Your most important duties:

  • Monitoring & Evaluation of relief/recovery projects, especially Impact Monitoring, including regular visits to and support of studies at project sites

  • Information management of project documentation

  • Support project reporting

  • Support project development / proposal writing

  • Attend Cluster and other Cooperation Meetings as required

As a qualified applicant you will possess the following:

  • A university or polytechnic degree in a relevant subject (Int. development, agriculture, etc.)

  • Good writing skills

  • Ability to work in a multinational environment

  • Ability to work in a team/skilled team player

  • Working experience in Sub-Sahara Africa are an asset

  • Very good command of English, both spoken and written

  • Command of German is an asset
