Mulrany International has contributed in alleviating the health care burden for the vulnerable populations in South Sudan, Somalia and Kenya through provision of primary health care (PHC) and nutrition.

Our Objectives We specialize in international health, sending medical experts to the frontline of global Emergencies when disaster strikes. Our doctors and nurses work around the clock to save Lives quickly, often putting their own lives at risk. Working together with tireless health workers on the ground, we take countries shattered by war and natural disasters from the state of Emergency to a state of recovery – staying for as long as it takes until we get the job done!

Reporting to the Program Coordinator South Sudan, the medical assistant will be expected to perform the following duties.

Responsibilities: • To attend out-patients including medical, surgical, pediatric, obstetrics and gynecological and other patients attending at the facility. • To attend admitted patients of all types of illness. • Provide care and treatment to people living with HIV/AIDS and related diseases. • Ensure quality data collection, proper record keeping, processing and use regarding health service delivery to all patients and medical commodities. • Referring all serious and complicated cases to the nearest referral Hospital. • Ensuring regular availability of drugs, equipments and other supplies at the Health Centre. • Provide preventive services in and outside the health facility. • To liaise closely with MOH projects through the Health Coordinator on health related matters. • To ensure responsibility of his/her subordinate staff at the Health Centre. To maintain disciplinary code and adherence to medical ethics at the Health Centr • Provide family planning services including BTL and IUD. • Ensure environmental, water and sanitation facilities are operational. • Provide regular clinical mentorship to the junior staff • Ensure proper record keeping, correct and timely report writing • To attend meetings related to his/her work as may be required by the Health Coordinator. • To provide health education to the community. • To foster close collaboration with communities and civil society organizations operating in the area. • To perform any other duties as may be required by the Health Coordinator. • Carry out introduction and orientation of newly recruited clinical staff to the health centre to other office staff and familiarize them with the internal working system/procedures.

Qualifications Higher Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery Registration/license with relevant professional body as a clinical officer. Minimum 3 years post medical registration work experience and experience working in a developing country Knowledge of Arabic language will be an added advantage. Organized, methodical and accurate Ability to work on strict deadlines and under pressure. Ability to work in a multidisciplinary, multicultural and remote environment. Flexibility and willingness to adjust to changing responsibilities or needs as they arise
