Your contribution
You will be responsible for the overall development, management and implementation of the Global Fund malaria grant in collaboration with the with Country Representative.
Program Management
Ø Oversee development of annual work-plan and monitoring and evaluation activities.
Ø Partner with PSI’s evidence team to oversee research activities to evaluate and measure program effectiveness and to maximize health impact including further innovation within existing program areas and expansion into new areas;
Ø Oversee the development of innovative and effective supply chain management systems and ensure the consistent implementation and high-quality delivery standards.
Ø Provide quality and timely management of project lifecycle for current projects including meeting programmatic and financial deliverables.
Ø Meet financial and other reporting requirements for donors and PSI Washington.
Ø Serve as a catalyst for the creation of new health products and services.
Ø Track distribution figures from Sub Recipients / consortium partners as well as the partner’s performance.
Ø Support the application of appropriate internal controls to protect PSI’s assets.
Coordination
Ø Promote effective relations with the Ministry of Health and sub recipients and partners.
Ø Enhance PSI’s involvement within the overall coordination mechanisms in South Sudan at all levels
Ø Build the strength of existing and new activities and expansion of the health programs portfolio.
Ø Maintain and foster external relations with strategic partners such as government institutions and position PSI with multiple donors, NGOs, and commercial entities;
People Management
Ø Lead, assess and develop direct and indirect reports through building technical and management related key performance indicators.
Ø Partner with the CR to develop and maintain systems that ensure the safety and security of the team and PSI assets in all aspects of its work according to best practices, PSI operating standards, and field realities.
Ø Liaise with the Country Representative on crucial events, incident reporting and security policy.
Ø Promote and demonstrate an ethical environment in line with PSI’s values and code of conduct.

Our ideal candidate will possess:
Ø South Sudanese Nationals only
Ø At least 8 years of experience managing people, budgets, and public health programs.
Ø A Master’s Degree of Advanced Graduate degree in Medicine, Business, Finance, Public Health or Health/Biological Sciences is preferred.
Ø Significant operational and program management experience preferably in South Sudan, with demonstrable experience in the management of grants with strength with Global Fund grants.
Ø Demonstrated ability to build the local technical, management and leadership capacity.
Fluent in spoken and written English, with excellent oral and written communication skills
Ø Financial management experience, international business, strategic management and product distribution.
Exceptional references required.
Position Type
Ø Fixed Term: 12 months with opportunity to extend.
