SPARK is a dynamic and growing, international not-for-profit development organisation with 80+ staff members, in more than 14 offices around the world. SPARK supports refugees in the Middle-East by providing them with scholarships in universities and higher education institutions in the region. SPARK also supports young entrepreneurs in fragile states, to start or grow their own businesses.

In South Sudan SPARK’s is supporting women and youth to become entrepreneurs. Currently SPARK is operating in Bor, Terekeka and Lobonok and is now expanding its operations to Yambio and Torit.

SPARK is looking for full time (40 hrs/week) 2 Business Support Officers to coordinate and Manage SPARK Business Support Centers activities, provide project implementation support, and youth and women engagement in entrepreneurship and business development in Torit and Yambio.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

· Responsible for fulfilling day to day needs of the Center and providing support to the Business Development Advisors (BDAs)

· Provide logistical support for the Business Support Center (BSC)

· Responsible for BSC communications with entrepreneurs and potential entrepreneurs

· Provide implementation support for all aspects of Business Plan Competitions with support from Consultants

· Plan and coordinate mentoring and coaching of entrepreneurs

· Ensure training of entrepreneurs are conducted as planed using approved Spark training modules

· Coordinate and Manage the work of the locally trained BDAs in the Field Office

· Implement BSC best practices and support BSC in acquisition.

· Compile Field Operations and Program Report and submit to your superior

· Perform any tasked assigned by the superior

Requirements and Skills:

· Has a BSc. Degree in Business, management or closely related fields.

· Has practical experience working with businesses/agribusinesses substantiated by work experience

· Strong organizational skills

· Strong background in Business Skills training

· Has experience in small business development, including in an environment that is comparable to South Sudan (similar social-economics challenges) as evidenced by project references.

· Experienced in training and facilitation of group processes

· Strong writing and reporting skills, including command of the English language

· Dynamic, flexible, entrepreneurial, a quick learner, quality and result oriented

· Dedicated and committed to working with youth and women in business development

· Good communication and social skills

· English and Arabic language skills

· South Sudanese National

SPARK Offers

· The position involves close partnership and team work in the daily management of SPARK BSC in South Sudan;

· A gross monthly salary between $ 800 and $1100 depending on professional experience and based on a fulltime appointment of 40 hours;
