Community Development Initiative (CDI), is a national NGO operating in Kapoeta, in South Sudan. World Action Fund is a partner NGO operating in Uganda and South Sudan, this position is managed by CDI and World Action Fund only helps to recruit a competent candidate.
Fixed Term appointment: Initial contract is two months and with 2 months’ probation period, upon satisfactory performance yearly contract shall be signed.
Job description
- Ensure strict adherence to relevant guideline standards as per CDI, Ministry of General Education and Instruction for all works, services and active implementation. **
- Ensure prompt and effective coordination with relevant stakeholders, partners and communities during the entire project implementation period**.**
Participate in all education meeting at state, County and at School level and adequately represent CDI at the state Education Cluster level meetings.
Monitor the implementation of all activities at school and community level, track progress in activity implementation and budget execution.
Help learners improve their listening, speaking and writing skills via individual and group sessions in English language, support active participation while applying practical aspects of key learning points in the school/communities.
Undertake identification and procurement of Education materials, equipments and supplies. Support timely delivery and distribution of all education supplies to the targeted schools.
Ensuring that the policies and provisions laid down in the South Sudan Education Act,2008 as well as other policies and provisions are adhered to by the primary school teachers
Design theory of change and write proposals for new funding opportunities i.e. locate areas of education needs, effect assessments on specific areas and map donors that fund given projects. **

Terms of the assignment
The successful person shall cater for his or her own expenses and affordable housing facilities in Kapoeta are moderately cheaper ranging $15-30 per month. This position is managed by CDI and is responsible.
Dead line for this application: 04th January, 2019. This position is open to any nationality.
Qualification: Must have bachelor degree or diploma in education, minimum experience of 1 year in managing education projects, working under harsh difficult conditions.
