The Programme Coordinator will be responsible for leading the Emergency Assistance (EA) Programme Team under the supervision of the EA Programme Manager- including coordinating reporting and proposal development processes and key programmatic activities, including monitoring and evaluation processes. The position is based in Juba with approx. 25% field travel.
Deliverables
- Donor Engagement and Proposal Development**
- Support the PM updating donor outreach materials;
- Work closely with HQ counterpart in managing key deadlines and donor policy / strategy documents in line with the EA team fundraising strategy;
- Work with the PM to coordinate the development of high-quality proposals- including writing and cross-checking inputs from various departments;
- Host annual partner planning sessions in the field (to support partner planning for the next year) in line with the needs of DCA and partners;
Monitoring and Evaluation
- Maintain a database of annual project outputs;
- Coordinate the quarterly update of the Programme Monitoring Framework amongst all departments;
- Update and (when necessary) create data collection tools and TORs;
- In partnership with the Programme Officer, lead capacity building exercises for local partners in data collection (bi-annual) and supervise data collection events in the field;
Grants Management Systems
- Monthly update and circulation of grants management tool;
- In line with project and global DCA indicators, develop and circulate easy-to-use, quarterly reporting templates to local partners (inclusive of all ongoing grants);
- Collecting and facilitating feedback and Lessons Learnt sessions with local partners;
Team player
- Work on building the programmatic (reporting & M&E) capacities of the PO and local partners;
- Coordinate information sharing between departments (finance / logistics / programme);
- Support cross-fertilization efforts between DCA teams (both within and outside of South Sudan);
- Act as “Officer In Charge” when requested;
Background
- 3-5 years of experience in project development, grants and programme management, and/or M&E;
- Experience working with USAID, DANIDA, DFID an advantage;
- Experience in cash transfer programming an advantage;
- Proven background in drafting successful humanitarian / CT proposals;
- Masters degree in relevant field;
