SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer will be responsible for ensuring Monitoring and Evaluation systems for all programs in Maban County are in place and maintained. In addition, they will be responsible for internal and external reporting of IMC activities, including donor reports, and take a lead role in program development.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Monitoring and Evaluation •Ensure proper data collection and management processes are in place and followed. On a daily basis, collecting and reviewing appropriate health, EPI, referrals and nutrition tally sheets from appropriate staff and updating internal databases.

•On a monthly basis, provide monthly data to the M&E team in Juba for compilation in the IMC-SS HIS.

•Provide relevant data to relevant partners on a weekly basis, using UNHCR and MOH formats.

•Provide general quality oversight of IMC programs, ensuring quality standards are achieved in health, nutrition and WASH activities.

•Conduct weekly focus group discussions and disseminate the results with relevant staff in the form of community feedback reports.

•Ensure that projects are implemented in accordance with IMC and global humanitarian policies and guidelines, including SPHERE and HAP principles and standards on accountability, including maintaining an accountability mechanism.

Reporting •Prepare all internal and external reports for Maban programs, including narratives and relevant qualitative and quantitative data, which clearly describe progress against indicators.

•Develop and review all proposal indicators, ensuring appropriate tracking mechanisms and data collection tools are in place and utilized appropriately.

•Provide responses to ad-hoc data requests for health/nutrition and other relevant meetings.

Program development, coordination and representation •In consultation with technical leads, develop new and continuation proposals in areas such as health, nutrition, WASH, mental health/psychosocial support and others.

•Coordinate with UNHCR, MOH, local government officials, other UN agencies, and other emergency actors in Maban.

•Coordinate with other operational INGOs in Maban, and liaise with them in terms of sharing of information regarding their activities and collecting data/information sharing.

•Represent IMC at Maban-level coordination forums and partners meetings.

QUALIFICATIONS •Advanced degree in public health or related discipline preferred. •High competency with Microsoft Excel, other statistical package experience (SPSS, etc.) useful by not required •Experience analyzing health, nutrition and WASH related data and synthesizing information for a wide variety of partners internal and external. •Experience in refugee environments, and working with UNHCR, highly preferred. •Experience working with donor-funded projects. •Excellent writing skills.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls and talk or hear. The employee will be frequently required to walk, occasionally required to sit and reach with hands and arms.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment in the field site office involves everyday risks or discomforts requiring normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, libraries, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated.

The work environment in the field involves high risks with exposure to potentially dangerous situations or unusual environmental stress requiring a range of safety and other precautions e.g. under threat of physical attack or mob conditions, or similar situations in which conditions cannot be controlled
