ICMA is looking to fill the position of State Governance Strengthening Coordinator for the Strengthening Democratic Local Governance in South Sudan proposal. The basic criteria are:
• 6-8 years of experience in governance, public administration, institutional development or related technical areas (preferably in a post-conflict environment or in Africa, previous experience working with US gov’t regulations is a plus) and public-sector institutional capacity building
• Minimum 3 years of experience working closely with and supporting governments in post-conflict situations
• Degree in local governance, public administration, international development, management, law or other relevant field
• Fluency in written and spoken Arabic required and English preferred
• Preferred residency and/or working experience in Northern Bhar el Ghazal, Warrap, Unity, Upper Nile or Jonglei states. Locals are the preference.
